Lynda, I am remembering you & your family in this time of loss, but gracious what a celebration there was in heaven when Gaines arrived! NOW God truly has someone who can help Him with the cattle on a thousand hills. You two have been special to me for most of my life and I will always treasure that. Love & prayers.

Lynda, Laura, and Leslie,
I'm remembering the times we were together while Laura and Hope and their pals were running NWH. Gaines was a fine man and a strong influence of those who knew him. You are in my prayers and you are loved.

Dr. Hunt was my professor/advisor at APSU and I can honestly say he went above and beyond for this students. He was a very good man of strong character and a true gentleman. Dr. Hunt had the respect of his students and was known for being knowledgeable about his field. I would often go to him with questions about my own cattle and I had trust in the advice he would give to me. I have known many cattleman/farmers and I have to say he is the best cattleman that I will ever know. Sympathy and prayers to his beloved family.

I'd like to pay tribute to this honorable man. He never knew me but I knew him. He became a mentor to my son at Austin Peay and a friend to him through the years that followed graduation. I knew of his kindness and generosity. There are many, many others like myself out there whose lives were touched by Dr. Hunt. My heart goes out to the family in the loss of this beloved man.

Mike and I were so saddened to hear of Gaines death. Mike is now the Dean of Interdisciplinary Studies at Tennessee Tech. He often worked closely with Gaines. He is working hard now and following in Gaines' footsteps. We will not be able to attend the service, but know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Take care. Gaines was always so good to me while in school and after and I enjoyed seeing him at every game across the way from me. His legacy at APSU will never be forgotten and will live on forever. We love you Lynda and are here for you! It wouldn't be right if I didn't add one more line in honor of him..."LET'S GO PEAY!"
