Dr. Hunt was my professor/advisor at APSU and I can honestly say he went above and beyond for this students. He was a very good man of strong character and a true gentleman. Dr. Hunt had the respect of his students and was known for being knowledgeable about his field. I would often go to him with questions about my own cattle and I had trust in the advice he would give to me. I have known many cattleman/farmers and I have to say he is the best cattleman that I will ever know. Sympathy and prayers to his beloved family.

Mike and I were so saddened to hear of Gaines death. Mike is now the Dean of Interdisciplinary Studies at Tennessee Tech. He often worked closely with Gaines.
