Jevita Gelic Banister, 44, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Jevita was born on September 8, 1972, in Ft. Campbell, KY to Kenneth C. Hale and Jocelyn Taylor Green.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at The Tabernacle Church, 1020 Garrettsburg Road, Clarksville, TN 37042, with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will be held at Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Jevita was a secretary for University Landing. She was a member of the Clarksville Church of God.

In addition to her parents, Jevita is survived by her step-mother, Jacqueline Hale; son, Denzel Banister; brother, Jerald Hale; and sister, Amecia Taylor.
