Alaisea Tue Matavao

Alaisea Tue Matavao, age 70, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare.

Alaisea was born in American Samoa, to the late Tue Faivae and Anastasia Posu Tue. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Initia Matavao, Sr.

Mrs. Matavao was a switchboard operator and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. 

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 7, at 11:00 AM, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, with Father Julian Ibemere officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be Friday, August 7, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the church.

Alaisea is survived by six sons, Tue L. Matavao, Erlangen A. (Angie) Matavao, Tiafau I. Tue; Punaloa (Steffany) Matavao, Posu (Leilani) Matavao, and Initia (Kate) Matavao, Jr.; three daughters, Seneuefa Matavao, Antonina Tue Matavao, and Epenesa Matavao (Suitulaga) Tausilia; brother, Posu Tue; sister, Koreti Tue Coffin; 21 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
