Betty Laverne (Yarbrough) Heflin

Betty Laverne Heflin, age 90 of Cunningham, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living.

Laverne was born on December 19, 1931 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Marvin J. Yarbrough and Etha Biter Yarbrough. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George W. Heflin, Jr.; two brothers, Staton Yarbrough and Bill Yarbrough; and one sister, Lois Guinn. She is survived by her son, Glenn Heflin; daughter, Judy Haley; sister, Aileen Mickle; grandson, Jonathan (Jessica) Haley; and one great grandson, Silas Haley.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Frank Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.

Laverne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Trenton Crossing Church of Christ and was a secretary for Century 21 until her retirement.
