Cheryl Bateman Martin, age 76, of Clarksville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Cheryl was born October 13, 1945, in Nashville, TN, to the late Ernest Dean Bateman and Aetna Pearl Bateman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Russell Martin; and brother, Steven Aldon Bateman.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joel T. Martin, Jr.; daughters, Lisa (Eddie) Marshbanks, Tammy (Billy) Hughes, and Melonie Martin; son, Tommy Martin; brothers, Ed (Nancy) Bateman, Kerry (Wanda) Bateman, and Tim Bateman; sister, Renee Bateman; grandchildren, Grace Allen, Justin (Jacquelyn) Bryant, Rush (Ashley) Milam, Kolt Milam, Hunter Hughes, Jarrett Martin, Arie Milam, Rylee Marshbanks, and Ryker Lee; and great grandchildren, Bennett, Jaxson, Mila, Arlington, Crew, and Wells.
Cheryl was a retired registered nurse, member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville, and Montgomery County Trail Riders. She loved her family, friends, horses and horseback riding, First Baptist Sunday School Class, and her Ole Timers Hospital Crew.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, August 1, at 1:30 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Pat Van Dyke officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, and Monday, August 1, from 11:00 AM until the time of service, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Marshbanks, Billy Hughes, Justin Bryant, Rush Milam, Kolt Milam, and Hunter Hughes.
