Edith G. Summers

Edith G. Summers, age 87, of Peculiar, MO (formerly of Clarksville, TN), passed away Monday, February 3, 2020, in Kansas City, MO.

Edith was born August 28, 1932, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late Joe Nelson and Bessie Williams Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Summers; and one son, Roger Summers.

Mrs. Summers was retired from Moss' Cafe.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 10, at 1:30 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, February 10, from 10:00 AM until the time of service, at the funeral home.

Edith is survived by one son, Donnie (Vicki) Summers; daughter, Donna (Michael) Reasoner; seven grandchildren, Kevin Summers, Nikki Bricco, Paul Summers, Jason Harmon, Leighton Harmon, Ashley Summers, and Mackenzi Summers; several great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Donald Coleman; three nieces, Norma Green, Judy Bryant, and Joan Cato; and two nephews, Steve Smith and Larry Nelson.
