Edward Terry Ellis

Edward “Terry” Ellis, age 84 of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family.

Terry was born on October 12, 1937 in Clarksville, TN to the late Edward “Easy” B. Ellis and Omega Sheppard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Michael Ellis and sister, Sandra Ellis Hinton. He is survived by his wife, Sara Mobley Ellis; sons, Rusty (Kathy) Ellis, Winn (Cindee) Ellis; Daughter, Sabrina (Mark) Hester; sisters, Dianne Ellis, Donna Ellis; grandchildren, Misty Heldreth Starnes, Eric (Megan) Ellis, Ryan (Julie) Hester, Evan (Lacey Jo) Ellis, Winn (Adam) Heartman, Grant Ellis; great grandchildren, Peyton Starnes, Ava Starnes, Evie Ellis, Emmie Ellis, Tobie Ellis, Allie Ellis, Kate Ellis and Knox Ellis and Rhett Hester.

Terry was a Knights of Columbus, a 1956 graduate of Clarksville High School, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  He was awarded the Long Rifles in Boy Scouts, and belonged to the Tennessee Wood Carvers and Tennessee Wood Turners clubs. He ran the concession stand for 16 years for the Clarksville National Baseball League.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Bill McKenzie officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
