Tess, as she was known by her friends and family, was born in Rutland, VT, on October 8, 1953, to Albert and Freda Tessier and grew up in Fair Haven, VT. She graduated from Fair Haven Union High School in 1971 where she was an energetic participant in many high school activities including cheerleading, chorus, yearbook, and prom court. She and her husband moved to Rutland, VT, where their daughter, Tara Llewellyn Creekmore, was born in 1986. Tess and her family moved to Clarksville in 1988.
As well as working as her husband's office manager, Tess was an accomplished sailor, enthusiastic gardener, and prolific seaside photographer.
