Tribute

James “Bo” Bennett, a lifelong resident of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on May 25, 2020, at Creekside Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.

The son of Lucille Fuqua Bennett and Charles T. Bennett, Bo was born on June 7, 1955, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1973. Bo was a long time employee of Gene and Dorothy Baggett at Rainbow Roller Rink, and Eastland Green Golf Course. Bo attended Pardue Baptist Church and Bethel Christ Presbyterian Church. He was an avid APSU sports fan, and attended home basketball games whenever possible. Over the years Bo was recognized by APSU as one of its most enthusiastic fans.

Bo is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Fuqua Davis, and his father, Charles T. Bennett. He is survived by his brother, Bill (Lucinda) Bennett, of Toluca Lake, California, his sister, Janet Bennett (William) Gibson, of Nashville, Tennessee, and stepfather, James P. Davis of Clarksville, Tennessee. Bo is also survived by five nieces and one great niece.

The family is especially grateful for the love and devotion shown for Bo by Maria Gold and her family.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, Bo was laid to rest in a private graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery on May 26, 2020. Pastor Stewart Sayler officiated. A Celebration of life Service will be celebrated at a later date.
