James (Jimmy) L. Powell, Jr.

James (Jimmy) L. Powell, Jr. , age 83, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 at his residence.

James was born February 5, 1940 in Montgomery Co., TN to the late James L. Powell Sr. and Mary Francis Collier. James was also preceded in death by his adoring wife Nedra Morgan Powell; sisters, Martha Proctor, Polly Houde, and Frances Delph; niece Janet Houde.

Jimmy was a proud Clarksville High School class of 1959 graduate and continued to serve in Clarksville as an Environmentalist. Jimmy was a devoted man of God and loved his Hilldale Church of Christ and Clarksville Christian Church Families.

A Celebration of Life in Jimmy’s honor will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Hilldale Church of Christ with Bro. Steve Kirby officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.
