Joseph "Joe" Shiro Smith

Joseph "Joe" Shiro Smith, age 89, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Brookdale Senior Living.

Joe was born August 17, 1932, in Washington, DC, to the late Harry Smith and Josephine Smith. He was also preceded in death by his spouses, Shirley Smith, Patricia Smith, and Jan Smith; one son, Joseph Shiro Smith, Jr.; and one grandchild.

He is survived by four children, William Smith, Michael (Shari) Smith, Elizabeth (David) Carr, and Kevin Smith; three stepchildren, Rob (Cathy) Bodle, Lorrie (Kevin) Shearon, and Alan (Lynne) Bodle; ten grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. 

Mr. Smith was a graduate of Anacostia High School in Washington, DC. He served in the National Guard during the Korean War. Joe was a recognized industry expert in lithography and color printing. He loved NASCAR and was a member of the Moose Lodge and Elk Lodge.

A private visitation and service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
