Karen Jean Hodges

Karen Jean Hodges, age 75, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at her residence.

Karen was born October 24, 1946, in Boston, MA, to the late Emerson Wesley Clarke and Helen MacDonald Clarke. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Hodges.

She is survived by her husband, Mark L. Hodges; two daughters, Courtney (Lee) Jones and Ashley Hodges (Drew Dawes); two brothers, Wesley W. (Dolly) Clarke and Brian (Paula) Clarke; two sisters, Susan (Peter) Clarke and Janice Foley; and two grandchildren, Logan and Evan.

Mrs. Hodges was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught all over the world for over 30 years. Karen finished her teaching career in Clarksville at Barksdale Elementary School. She was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, May 23, at 2:00 PM, at Madison Street United Methodist Church, with Rev. Harriet Bryan officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, May 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, and Monday, May 23, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service, at the church.
