Martha Davis Hewell

Martha Davis Hewell, age 79, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare. 

Martha was born October 16, 1939, in Shelbyville, TN, to the late James Henry Davis and Margaret Ruth Sudberry Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Hewell. 
Mrs. Hewell retired from Clarksville Gas & Water as an executive assistant, and she was a member of The Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, November 6, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, November 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, November 6, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Martha is survived by her close friend, Will Oliver of Cedar Hill, TN; son, Michael Wayne (Roxanne) Perkins of Covington, GA; two daughters, Susan Mayree Wilson of Las Vegas, NV and Tammie Ruth Gregory of Liberty, IN; stepson, Jeff (Sherry) Hewell of Murfreesboro, TN; stepdaughter, Kayce Cramer of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Jesse B. (Evelyn) Davis of Melborne Beach, FL and James Richard (Teresa) Davis of Abbeville, MS; sixteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. 

Martha's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
