Nedra Powell

Nedra Morgan Powell, age 83, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Nedra was born April 16, 1939, in Potomac, IL, to the late Jeffie Belt Morgan and Edith Bell Armstrong.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Powell Jr. and two brothers; James (Barbara) Morgan and Duane (Mary Ann) Morgan.

Nedra was a retired teacher with Montgomery County School system, having received her Masters degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Peabody College.  She was a member of Gateway Christian Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Steve Kirby and Bro. Robbie Kubr officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Thursday, July 21, from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
