Stewart Monroe Thornburg

Stewart Monroe Thornburg, age 100, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare.

Stewart was born February 8, 1920, in Walkerton, IN, to the late Walter Guy Thornburg and Florence Parker Thornburg. He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Villaroz Thornburg; one son, Stewart E. Thornburg; one grandson, Stewart Michael Thornburg; son-in-law, Ed Fowler and several brothers and sisters.

He was a US Army WWII veteran.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 22, at 2:00 PM, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.

Stewart is survived by two sons, Clyde (Gloria) Thornburg and Curtis (Cindy) Thornburg; daughter, Lelawala Fowler; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
