Thomas James Transue

Thomas James Transue, age 81, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at his residence.

Thomas was born April 6, 1939, in Boston, MA, to the late James Thomas Transue and Eleanor Babbin Transue. He was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas James Transue II.

Thomas was an avid fisherman and a family man. He was a US Air Force veteran. Mr. Transue was a foodie who loved to eat, especially a good steak. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 31, at 10:00 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. James Sanders officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Marilyn Johnson Transue; one son, Danny L. (Deby) Transue; three daughters, Sherri Lange, Holly (Dennis) Carneyhan, and Sandi (Chris) Moten; 13 grandchildren, Thomas Archer, Jennifer Sadowski, Julie Piotrowski, Taylor Transue, Justin Morton, Richard Roe, Kelsey Crandall, Jeffrey Collins, Stephanie Arnold, Jaima Cross, Emily Wong, Alyx Moten, and Makenzie Moten; 21 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and his beloved dog, Annie.
