William "Billy" E. Wilson

William E. "Billy" Wilson, age 40, of Clarksville, went to Heaven to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

Billy was born January 22, 1978, in Fort Benning, GA, to James W. Wilson and Catherine Mapp Wilson. He was known for his smiles, dimples, and hazel eyes.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 19, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Pastor Jonnie Aldridge officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 19, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. Interment will be held Monday, October 22, at 1:00 PM, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville. 

Billy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clarence Mapp; and his uncle and namesake, William Earl Wilson, who was killed in the line of duty in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Annie Ruth Mapp of Monroe, GA; brother, Terry Cook of South Carolina; sister, Carissa Joia Wilson of Tennessee Ridge, TN; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and LaTachias Clinard, a caregiver, family friend, and personal assistant.

Billy's cousins will serve as pallbearers.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Middle Tennessee, 955 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206.
