Michael Ponder, 69, of Clarksville, TN, passed into the arms of Jesus Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Gulf Shores, AL.

Mike was born on March 8, 1948, in Atmore, AL to the late William A. Ponder and Audrey Buckner Ponder. He was also preceded in death by his son, Brian Dale Ponder.

There will be a reception to Celebrate Mike's Life on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Hope Building. Friends can enter on the 5th Street side of the building.

Mike was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville.

Mike is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Trisha (Shawn) Masters of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, John (Mickey) Ponder of Nashville, TN and Mark Ponder of Atlanta, GA; sister, Michelle Baseheart of Florida; four grandchildren, Lainie Choy, Nolan Masters, Katelynn Masters, and Keira Rutherford; one great grandchild, Emalina Choy.

Mike is also survived by Linda's beloved sister, Teri Montgomery and several nieces and nephews.
