Vera Lee Crosslin Freeman, age 92, was born February 13, 1925, in Jacobs Hill, TN, and died Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Signature Healthcare of Clarksville. 

Vera worked at the Methodist Publishing House in Nashville, TN, at the OB-GYN clinic of the US Army Hospital at Fort Campbell, KY, and for the US Army Missile Command in Redstone Arsenal, AL. She was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church. 

The daughter of the late Rev. Richard and Sudie Crosslin, Vera is survived by her daughter, Martha Sue Culverhouse (Joseph) Robinson of Adairville, KY; son, Charles Buford (Carol) Freeman of Clarksville; sister, Mozelle Crosslin Abernathy; granddaughter, Susan Leigh Miller; grandson-in-law, Joshua Mizrahi; great granddaughter, Iris Simone Mizrahi, all of Brooklyn, NY; grandson, Robert (Brandy) Powell; great grandsons, Cameron and Tate Powell of Nolensville, TN; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friend of 35 years, Christine Cage. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Buford Freeman; her parents; three brothers, Frank Edgar, Joe Elmer, and Richard Claude; four sisters, Mary Eula Crosslin, Cecile Maxine Crosslin, Sudie Lane Crosslin Williams, and Ethel Margaret Crosslin Estes. 

Vera was a loving and faithful wife, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. Her sweet disposition was a joy to her family and friends.

The funeral service will be held Monday, November 20, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. B.J. Brack officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, November 20, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
