Jan Cecile Smith, 84, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Jan was born on January 5, 1934, in Dallas, TX to the late Miller Jones and Cecile Vandervoort Jones. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Gregory Shearon and step-son, Joe Smith, Jr.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Penny Stratton officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Jan was a member of the Clarksville Women's Club and Clarksville Bridge Club.

Jan is survived by her husband, Joseph Smith of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Rob (Kathy) Bodle of New Bern, NC and Alan (Lynne) Bodle of Wake Forest, NC; daughter, Lorrie (Kevin) Shearon of Clarksville, TN; three step-sons, Bill Smith, Michael Smith, and Kevin Smith; step-daughter, Elizabeth Carr; three grandchildren, Allison Bodle of Harrisburg, PA, Emily Shearon, and Jennifer Shearon of Clarksville, TN; seven step-grandchildren; and six step-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alan Bodle, Rob Bodle, Kevin Shearon, Wayne Shearon, Gaines Shearon, and Tyler Shearon.
